Sonic Jazz Project step out in St Ives….
Tuesday 4th August was a really great night for the band! We played at St Ives Jazz Club to a full house. Here’s a little write up from the St Ives Jazz Club Facebook Page…..
“Sonic Jazz Project was a big success at the club tonight and gave our new sound system a good workout, so the band’s name was very apt. This band sounded very good, with Sonia McLean on vocals in good form despite being about 12 months pregnant. Sarah McDonagh, on tenor sax and flute, sounded very mature and confident indeed, with my old band mates Tom Quirke at the piano and keyboard, and Ross Williams on bass, better than ever. Ashley James is a fine and sensitive drummer. We had a big crowd, so we all made some money and everybody was happy.TB”
And here we are relaxing at the end….
Thank you to everyone who came along and supported us, bought a ticket, a drink and a CD!
We’re playing on the opening night of Bude Jazz Festival on 1st September (tickets here) and there are plenty of shows lined up in August – check out our future events listings here: future events. See you soon!
